Sinusitis

Sinusitis typically presents as an acute infection of the paranasal sinuses, but in sensitive individuals, recurring infections may progress to chronic sinusitis. Common symptoms include thick and purulent mucus (either green or yellow), facial pain (especially above and below the eyes), nasal congestion, and loss of smell.

Homeopathy may offer support for both acute and chronic sinusitis. In chronic cases, a deeper-acting, individualized remedy (often called a constitutional remedy) is prescribed. This aims to strengthen the immune system and helps reduce the body’s tendency to develop sinus infections.

As a result, the individual is more resilient—so, for example, when they catch a cold, it manifests with only mild symptoms instead of progressing to full-blown sinusitis.

For acute sinusitis, among the many specialized homeopathic remedies available, the practitioner selects the one that best matches the distinct symptoms of the current episode. This remedy is said to act quickly, often within hours. In most cases, this approach seeks to avoid the need for antibiotics or nasal sprays.
